Turbosmart - IWG75 Wastegate Actuator 7PSI - 2009-2014 WRX & 2004+ STi
Turbosmart's IWG75 Wastegate Actuator 7PSI for 2009-2014 WRX & 2004+ STi offers enhanced boost response due to its higher "Working Ratio" compared to stock actuators. This upgraded series has been specifically designed to optimize boost response at all RPMs for factory frame turbochargers.
These enhancements have led to an improved "working ratio," achieved by increasing the effective surface area of the diaphragm and revising the springs. This allows for greater leverage of the forces the actuator must overcome (boost and backpressure) while maintaining excellent responsiveness.
Upgrading with the same base pressure as factory, you can expect a broader boost & torque curve through peak boost being achieved earlier in the RPM and being held longer, into higher RPM. These improvements can be amplified with higher base pressures, however tuning & recalibration is likely required.
