Scrolling through promotional emails this week I ended up reading an interesting article about Pippa Mann posted by PRI.
Pippa Mann leads Shift Up Now, a group helping women racers get the money they need. They want to make sure female racers have the same chances as men. Shift Up Now gets cash from donations and sponsors to help racers get good equipment, practice time, and support to build their careers.
They offer memberships with perks like online events and discounts. Shift Up Now also gives out grants to help racers with things like coaching and tires. While they focus on older racers now, they hope to help younger ones in the future and see their racers compete at the top levels.
